At the press conference of Tianjin Internet Development Report (2022) held by the Press Office of Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, Ren Hongyuan, a member of the party group and deputy director of the Tianjin Industrial and Information Technology Bureau, introduced the development of the city’s industrial Internet as well as the situation related to empowering the digital transformation of enterprises.

As a product of the deep integration of new-generation information technology and manufacturing, the industrial Internet is playing an increasingly important role in promoting the integration and development of the digital economy and the real economy. Ren Hongyuan said that in recent years, the Tianjin Industrial and Information Technology Bureau has thoroughly implemented the spirit of the twentieth Party Congress, the solid implementation of the “Ten Actions”, adhered to the new development concept to lead high-quality development, accelerated the promotion of the innovative development of the industrial Internet, closely focused on the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry, made the application of the industrial Internet empowered to continuously improve the enterprise digital, Networking, intelligent development.

He introduced the Tianjin’s forward deployment of network infrastructure construction. The “double gigabit” broadband network project of gigabit 5G and gigabit optical network has been rapidly promoted and selected as one of the first batch of “gigabit cities” in China.

By the end of June, Tianjin has built a total of 65,500 5G base stations. Leading enterprises like Ziguang Cloud, China Automotive Engineering Research Institute, Evergreen and Yike have been promoted to build second-level nodes for industrial Internet identification and resolution.

Tianjin has built a multi-level industrial internet platform system, actively promoting the implementation and application of national-level industrial internet cross-industry and cross-field  platforms such as Humi, Haier, and Huawei in the city. It has cultivated a batch of industry-level and enterprise-level industrial internet platforms such as Yike, CAERI Center, and New Tiangang, gradually building a multi-level industrial internet platform system. Relying on the “Tianhe” series of computing resources, it has created and launched Tianhe Engineering Simulation Cloud 3.0, helping small and medium-sized enterprises save research and development costs, shorten research and development cycles, and cultivate talent teams.

Tianjin is deepening the integration and application of industrial Internet, continuously exploring innovative applications that meet the needs of enterprises for sharing information on industrial products, making “logo+” a new direction for industrial applications. Huawei Cloud Chassis has set up an innovation centre in Tianjin, released the “Cloud Ascending Plan” for specialized, refined and innovative SMEs, empowered nearly 400 specialized, refined and innovative SMEs and served more than 600 SMEs.

In addition, Tianjin continues to promote the digital transformation of enterprises. It supports enterprises to carry out intelligent upgrade consultation and diagnosis, and implement the standardization of integrated management system of industrialization and industrialization. The city’s index of integration of industrialization and industrialization reached 107.6, ranking seventh in the country. The city has organized the pilot work of digital transformation for small and medium-sized enterprises, formed a batch of small, fast, light and accurate system solutions and products, and created a group of replicable and easy-to-propagate small lighthouse enterprises for digital transformation, which will drive the small and medium-sized enterprises to watch and learn by examples.
